The Creative #PowerOfUs - Part 1

Last month we asked creatives to submit pieces of their choosing that were based around this years TEDxBrum theme - the #PowerOfUs. In the run up to the day itself, we will be sharing some of those submissions.

The first piece is by local filmmakers Rebels Without A Pause who focus on creating films with a social, cultural and political news and documentary pieces. Their submission features previous TEDxBrum team member Andy Lee as well as two of this years speakers; Amy Martin and Anisa Haghdadi.

You can view their submission below and be sure to check them out on Facebook and Twitter.

The next submission is a poem by local writer Karen Elizabeth Miller.

Power of Us

I write,
I draw,
I paint,
I mould,
I frame,
I design,
I sculpt,
I dance,
I compose,
I interpret,
I portray,
I sing,
Myself out because I seek:
the spark,
the connection,
the alignment,
the fit,
the flow,
the glow,
the recognition,
the resonance,
the understanding,
the knowing,
the fusion,
the unity:
the Power of Us.

You can connect with her on Twitter and take a look at further work over on her website.

A huge thank you to everyone who created something inspired by #PowerOfUs and we can't wait to share more of your work soon.
